Laura Ingalls Wilder
Park and Museum

This museum features the only childhood home of novelist Laura Ingalls Wilder that remains on its original site. Wilder is famous for writing Little House on the Prairie, Little House in the Big Woods, On the Banks of Plum Creek, and other books. Nine-year-old Laura moved here with her family when her father took a job managing the Burr Oak House Hotel in 1876.
